Thank you so much to everyone who attended our special UCEAP Presents, featuring the 2023 Emerging Leader Alumni Award recipient Shelby Mack. Thank you to Shelby for an insightful discussion regarding her experience abroad and her continued work in Ghana. If you were unable to attend the event, we encourage you to watch and learn about Shelby's passion for Ghana and the non profit start she helped start Youth in Action NGO. Shelby works as a Communications Director and helps with social media management, fundraising/grant writing, and networking. Shelby has been back and forth to volunteer with her family and adopted community in Dzodze since 2021, and plans on continuing to build her relationships with UCEAP, the University of Ghana, and other local non-profits in Ghana that work with Ghanaian women sexual assault/human-trafficking survivors.
Shelby is a UC Berkeley alumna who studied in Ghana in 2018.
