THE MARCUM SOCIETY
The Marcum Society recognizes donors who have given any amount for the past two consecutive years. The society is named in honor of John A. Marcum (1927 – 2013). Under his leadership from 1990 to 2007, the number of students studying abroad through UCEAP increased substantially, and UC partnered with leading universities in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe to create new and more diverse opportunities for students to study, research and participate in overseas internships.
Loyal donors are the cornerstone of our success, providing the means by which UCEAP can carry out its mission to inspire students to explore and transform their lives, UC, and the world. In recognition of this important commitment, Marcum Society honors all alumni giving to UCEAP, from our new donors who are just beginning their commitment to annual giving, to our lifetime supporters, who have given to the university for many years.
Gifts of any amount to all areas of the university are counted towards Marcum Society membership. Consecutive years of giving are counted by fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30. Simply make a gift two years in a row and you will be automatically enrolled. Continue with a gift each year to maintain your membership.
Thank you for supporting UCEAP study abroad scholarships. Student success is directly related to the generosity of our alumni and friends!
