I’m honored to begin serving as Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director for the University of California Education Abroad Program - an organization that has shaped the lives of more than 130,000 alumni worldwide, including my own.
As a UC graduate who studied abroad with UCEAP, I know firsthand how transformative global learning can be.
As UCEAP enters its 63rd year, higher education faces significant challenges, yet the value of study abroad has never been clearer. The critical thinking, empathy, cross-cultural communication, and adaptability you gained through your own experiences are exactly the skills the world needs today.
In the months ahead, I’ll be listening, learning, and working with our campuses to shape strategies that will further our mission and keep UCEAP at the forefront of global education. Alumni like you are central to that vision - your stories, mentorship, scholarship support, and advocacy help ensure future students have these same life-changing opportunities.
I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to lead UCEAP into this next era, and I look forward to connecting with you as we continue to inspire students to explore and transform their lives, UC, and the world.
