The UCEAP response units in California and abroad are experienced and knowledgeable about emergency preparedness and incident management. They can be reached 24/7 from anywhere in the world in the event of an emergency.

During global situations, UCEAP considers canceling programs on a program-by-program basis based on a rigorous assessment process. Conditions are still fluid and could change. Further programs could still be canceled by the partner university or by UCEAP.

Stay up-to-date on visa issuance, travel restrictions, quarantine in host countries, or other requirements as they could change.

Pandemic Updates

February 18, 2022: The University of California Office of the President waived our immediate obligation to cancel spring programs based on UCEAP’s program cancelation policy and is allowing UCEAP to consider operating on a program-by-program basis based on a rigorous assessment process.

Conditions are still fluid and could change due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Further programs could still be canceled by the partner university or by UCEAP.
